Our Team

Jason started his career in financial services industry in 2003. He spent the first eight years as an advisor and manager with a top Canadian financial services company.

Jason holds a Business Administration diploma from Red River College & has received his Certified Financial Planner designation. Jason also holds a Certified Health Insurance Specialist designation and has been a speaker at many industry events. Jason is an active board member for Advocis (The Financial Advisors Association of Canada) and focuses his efforts on helping families and businesses in all facets of financial planning.

Jason lives in Winnipeg with his wife Somsamay.

Siqi is a licensed mutual fund advisor. She started her financial services career in early 2018 as an assistant, where she excelled in building relationships and offered an exceptional service standard. Siqi works with professionals, young families, and business owners.

After graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management, she focused on helping both small businesses, corporations, as well as farm owners to establish group benefits solutions, retirement plans, individual investments in segregated funds and individual insurance.

In October 2022, Siqi became mutual fund licensed to better assist clients in financial investments.

Outside of the office, Siqi enjoys pilates, golfing, playing badminton and playing drums. Siqi now resides in Richmond Hill Ontario to better assist our clientele in the GTA.

Steve has been interested in financial planning ever since the day he picked up a book called, “The Richest Man in Babylon” back in 2015.

Ever since then, he has taken many courses, read numerous books, and listened to countless podcasts on the world of finance and economics.

He found himself in many conversations with friends, family, and colleagues, which revolved around the benefits of budgeting and investing even prior to starting at the Wealth Planning Group in 2021.

Steve started out at W.P.G. The Wealth Planning Group as an assistant and excelled in all duties that were asked of him.

When the Partners of the W.P.G. The Wealth Planning Group recognized his potential they quickly encouraged him to get licensed to become an advisor in both mutual funds and insurance.

Steve’s main focus is to help families and young professionals protect and grow their assets. Steve is also very curious by nature, and enjoys learning new things and solving problems.

When he’s not at work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, going on walks, riding his bike, kayaking, and spending time with friends.

Eddy Sun is an Associate Financial Advisor at W.P.G. The Wealth Planning Group who assists their financial advisors to provide professional, accurate and efficient services and administration for investments to their clients. He believes that his position is a connection between the clients, the advisors and the financial institutions including the fund companies.

Eddy holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics – Actuarial Mathematics from University of Manitoba as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Automation.

He has also passed several SOA/CAS actuarial exams and CSC, and is pursuing CFA in recent years. The further learning has been providing him the better academical support for his position in the financial industry. In addition, Eddy always has passion to contribute as volunteers for business gala, networking mixer, career fair, community picnic, as well as stray animal shelter with his wife who is a dog groomer.
